Notes

Again, this is not a personal pattern, I found it in the old Phildar magazine. Every part is knit straight, yet, later, when you assemble them, you get this asymmetrical fashionable look. If you have this magazine, I would highly recommend the pattern - it is really well explained and eventually all the parts fit, if you follow directions.
My row gauge was different and I had to recalculate everything in order to incorporate the decreases. It was supposed to have a zipper at the top - mine is zipperless. I just didn’t feel like going through that much of a bother with one project.
The other modification was the collar. I didn’t knit it separately as per pattern, but picked up 104 sts around the neck (not 124), followed directions for the short rows but made them first and then knit for 15 cm before casting off.
The sleeves are too long for me but I made this sweater for my daughter who has much longer arms than I do.
I used almost all of 10 balls of Rowan Kid Classic which is absolutely divine: soft, fuzzy, warm, a real pleasure to work with.
