Handwoven on an Ashford Knitter’s Loom: 60 ends, 10dpi reed, same yarn for warp and weft.

I bought 5 skeins of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport in Pewter from eBay, and got a capelet, a scarf, and Fetching glovelets from it.

The yarns differed considerably in color and variegation in spite of being the same dye lot, so I used leftovers from a couple of skeins from the other projects for the warp of this scarf, and a single ball for the weft. (You can really see the difference in the closeup pic at far left--there’s a vertical stripe that almost looks beige.)

Unfortunately for my husband, I wove it while half-watching an old, low-budget Masterpiece Theatre version of Pride and Prejudice, and so it became Mr. Darcy’s scarf. (He’s not a big Austen fan.) But he doesn’t have to know that part.
