2010-08-10: Hm. Once I took the pins out, the finished width eased back to 18”. I might block it again. Incidentally, the color in the first two photographs is pretty accurate.

2010-08-08: Blocking day! Finished size is supposed to be 22” x 55”. I blocked to 20” by 58”, which is close enough -- I was more worried about length than width. Now that it’s blocked the striations and shifts in the color are really showing up nicely.

2010-07-22: Finished knitting, now just need to block.

2010-05-22: Now that I’ve done a full repeat, I see that this is essentially the same pattern as the Lace Ribbon scarf - just finer yarn, and wider. The pattern’s pretty easy to follow--once I get going, I rarely need to consult the stitch chart.

However, it’s going to be a loooong time finishing this one! Takes about 4 hours to get through a full row repeat.
