Notes

--I used three colors of handspun BFL - undyed, Rainy Day Man from Three Waters Farm, and Amethyst from Greenwood Fiber Works.

--The cowl has five repeats of the colorwork chart. I knit three repeats with Rainy Day Man as the contrast color and two repeats with Amethyst.

--Each repeat of the chart used about 24 grams of the undyed mixed BFL and 24 grams of the contrast color.

--I wanted to graft the two ends together with the undyed yarn, because I felt the graft would be most invisible in that color. So I started on Row 45 of the chart. My chart repeats began on Row 45 and ended on Row 44.

--I worked with the background color (nondominant color) in my right hand and the contrast color (dominant color) in my left. On Round 72, when the contrast color shifts from being the dominant color to the background color, I switched the yarns, moving the one from my right hand to the left, and the one from the left hand to my right. I shifted them again on Round 28, when the light color shifts from being dominant back to being the background color.

--I did not weave in ends but simply knotted them.

--I did not turn one end 180 degrees before grafting to create a moebius strip.

--I found the grafting instructions in this video by Knit Purl Hunter to be very helpful.
