Finished! And not only will he wear it, it will suit him! He’s a tall red-head already so looks the part and will have red eyebrows peeking. Perfect!
The pattern is all there and straightforward. It may not be moron simple and baby-steps-by-steps, but you can trust it. I did feel a bit lost at the start, but it’s all good.
I did a multi-stranded plait at the middle there, which is easy (first time ever)… you just weave from one side to the other, then again, rather than back and forth like a 3 strand plait. I left the ends straggly to be Piratey, or Vikingey.
The wool is amazing! I can’t imagine what possessed Cleckheaton to discontinue it. It’s gorgeous to use, washes well and is soft.
Ah well, lucky I have stacks.
I ran a gloss mohair with the steel and a Morris & Son’s baby alpaca (Maya) with the red.
I’ll get photo’s in situ at Christmas. For now, I’ve used my husband… another Viking to be sure.
