My grand-daughter loved my wristees so much I had to promise her a pair. She’s almost 6 but has very slender, long hands. I’ve adapted Tiny Owl’s pattern to fit and squished the bird.
Sadie picked the vintage green yarn I’d originally chosen myself (out of all my stash!). It’s nylon/acrylic which will be good for a busy little girl.
P.S. This photo is my little protege rolling about in pretty, fluffy bling because the lovliness just got the better of her!
I cast on 38 stitches, worked 6cm (including birdie) then did a 2x2 rib for 2.25cm. I decreased 4 stitches (total) either side and in the middle of a rowbefore** the ribbing.**
