Notes

My first knitting project.. yeah, I’m a bit crazy.. I picked socks..LOL I am using a circular needle & the magic loop method.

April 28: I practiced with the new needles & the magic loop method to get the hang of it

April 29:
So far I have the toe done & am working on the foot.

May 2:
First foot done. I am looking over the directions for the heel & probably over thinking it… think I’ll start the second sock & come back to the heel part once I understand it.

May 4:
Second foot done.. now to tackle the heel. Still trying to wrap my head around the instructions.

May 5:
Advice given to me: Don’t think about it.. just follow the directions exactly. No matter how strange they may sound.. just do it.. do exactly what is written.

May 6:
I did it… I worked the heel on the first sock!!! YEAH ME!!

May 7:
FIrst sock almost done.. just needs the ribbing for the cuff. Second sock … working on the heel.

May 10:
Who would have thought the binding off would trip me up??? Sock fit perfectly until I did the bind off… then it was too tight. So after frogging the binding several times, trying different bind offs.. I finally settled on Elisabeth Zimmerman’s sewn bind off done very loosely. This method worked very well. Now to finish up sock #2.

May 12:
Done.. 2 socks finished & they fit perfectly!!
