The directions were confusing at first. I messaged the designer & she sent me charts with stitch counts that helped clarify a few things. Great customer service!!!

Ok I’ve frogged this several times because I keep loosing my place. The pattern repeat is on 2 pages and you need to flip back to page 1 for the directions for the even rows. It was just too much for my ADD brain to do.
I ended up writing out rows 1-12 fully on a single sheet of paper with all rows included. I’m not loosing my place now & progressing nicely.
Figured out the 1st paragraph under the first set of rows 1-12 translates to:
Repeat rows 1-12 eight more times. (9 fiddleheads made)
LOVE the crochet technique for the fiddleheads … Total genius!!
I also wrote out the second set of Rows 1-12 changing the K1/M1 to K2 as directed in the 2nd paragraph so that it is easier to remember not to do the increases in this section.
Doing my M1 as a Kf/b so I don’t get a weird space on that row & it has a consistent look to other rows.

Over half way done. This is knitting up quick.
3/29/13:
Knitting the decrease section. I have written this section out row by row as well, so I don’t loose my place.
Translation for paragraph under decrease section:
Repeat rows 1-12 seven more times then knit row 1 again (8 stitches on needles)

Finished!!! Washed & blocked.
YAY!
Love how this came out. Wonderful pattern.
I had enough yarn left over to knit up a matching hat.
