Test knit for browneyedbabs.

This is also my first time using Brava. I like the softness of it, and it’s not as splitty as many acrylics. So far, it isn’t killing my hands either.

Note: do not use needles where the shaft and point of the needle are not one piece. The Karbonz tip edge caught on the plies while doing the doll joint and made it impossible to complete it until I changed needles.

I used Judy’s magic cast-on on the first two feet, but switched to the recommended Turkish cast-on for the third. The former left a slight (and almost imperceptible) line along the cast-on and shifts the ribs slightly. The latter does neither. Clearly, the Turkish cast-on is better for this pattern!

I used intarsia-in-the-round for the white patches. The left edge of the belly was rough… Really rough. I disguised it by over stitching the edge with a tidy daisy-chain of white stitches.

The ears and eyes (10mm safety eyes) are just a tiny bit wonky, but I love him!
