Hannah Fettig’s patterns never seem to disappoint. Just as simple as ever, with beautiful details. This one is a little slow going since it calls for fingering weight yarn, but I don’t even care because I know how soft and cozy it will be to wear once it’s done.
This is my first time to use any yarn with cashmere in it (even though it’s only a little bit) and I must say it is HEAVENLY to work with. I’m almost finished with the waist shaping at this point… can’t wait to get this one off the needles and wrapped around me.

Fingering weight cardigans take an eternity, but this fabric is so incredibly soft it doesn’t even bother me. Is there such a thing as “second sleeve syndrome”? It exists for socks, but sleeves? Seriously, it took me forever to finish the first one, but I’m determined to power through the second so I can knit the yoke of this beauty and have a chance to wear it before the weather gets warm!

It took forever, but I have finally finished Walpole! All that’s left is wet blocking it, which I plan to do tonight. The pattern was extremely easy to follow and once I really started working on it consistently it didn’t take too long to finish up. The only seaming done was attaching the collar to the top of the neck and sleeves, and then grafting the live underarm stitches - nothing that took very much time or effort. If you knit this sweater be prepared for the time commitment since it’s such a small gauge, but mine is super soft and I can already tell I’m going to get just as much wear out of it as I do my Effortless Cardigan. Yay, Knitbot! Knitbot 4-eva! (ha)
