I originally wanted to do a convertible fingerless glove pattern but I don’t think I would have had enough yarn. I like this pattern so far (I’ve learned how to do both the lateral braid and the linen stitch) but because of the inconsistency in the width of the yarn, I’m not sure the linen stitch is defined enough. I might just purl those sections instead.
This yarn is so divine--squishy, soft and full of home raised, handspun love!

I opted to cast on 32 stitches instead of 40.

I was a little worried about the decision to cut out eight stitches but I’m happy I did. It fits just right, snug without being too snug.
I also added four rounds of stockinette before the thumb gusset section. I have very long arms, so coats are always too short on me, which means large stretches of my wrists are often exposed.
I was right that due to the inconsistency in the yarn width, the linen stitch isn’t as defined as it should be. But still, it adds a bubbly, warm look.

Contemplating frogging this. I had a feeling it’d be hard finding the perfect pattern to equal this really great yarn.
