Such a beautiful shawl pattern and fun construction. I love that it is a large shawl but there are never too many stitches on the needle at once. Can’t wait to wear this!
7/7 Finished! I plan to take some action shots in the next few days and at the latest by the weekend.
7/6 Knitting complete - blocking.
7/4 One last time through chart B and I will be done! Of course that will probably take two days, but I expect to be blocking by Monday.
6/29 Nearly done! One section left to go out of 6 but it’s the largest - hopefully in a day or two I’ll be done :0)
6/25 Half way through the second chart (B) of Section 2.
6/24 I’d started a few days ago and got through section 2 and onto section 3 when I decided I just wasn’t loving the color combination I was doing. So, back to square one and with far fewer colors, just two this time.
6/22 Can’t wait to cast on for this beautiful shawl with this lovely yarn! Thanks for letting me test Melanie!
This yarn is amazing stuff, just LOVE it. It will be interesting to see how it washes and wears over time, but it is really pretty and has awesome stitch definition. It is very fine while still having a lot of body to it. When my sister saw it yesterday she commented on how it looked like silk to her, it has a lovely sheen and creates a supple, drapey fabric when knit up. And for 100% linen it is so gentle on the hands!
The only little mod I did was to knit 10 extra rows of garter stitch on the bottom border so that I could have a slice of mixed color across the bottom - and of course using more than one color.
Graphite (blue-grey): sections 1,2,5,6
Caffeine (tan): section 4
Mixed (two rows of one, two of the other, switching colors on the wrong side): section 3 & border
