I have loved this swan since I first saw the pattern quite a while ago and finally there was a baby gift to make it for. The skirt is so very clever and so much more fun to do than basting through the tulle and then gathering and sewing to the toy as I have done with a different ballerina pattern - I will do it this way always in the future - so cute!

I ended up embroidering the eyelashes on, which is not quite as nice, but I messed up my only pair of eyelashes trying to glue them to the eye and didn’t have time to get any more.
