Notes

Colors: Kittiwake, Solan Goose, Spindrift, Shearwater, Red Deer, Red Rattle, Carrageen, Capercaille. Carrageen no longer available so Sea Ivory was subbed.

Forgot to measure amounts of yarn, so the amounts are just guesswork. :o(

Makes quite a long scarf: 66 inches not including fringe. Should have weighed the yarn needed before I began.

This pattern actually requires a “double” rating from me. While I would rate the technique as “easy”; consisting of straight stockinette and requiring no steeks and no shaping, I’m finding the repeated middle pattern surprisingly difficult. I usually multi-task while knitting stranded patterns, but I’m finding this pattern difficult for me. I’m unable to memorize the sequence, causing constant referral to the chart to be necessary. Also, since the pattern is only 18 rows, it requires a contrast color change for almost every row, making this fiddly to knit.
That being said, it’s only 134 stitches across, and I love the design and the colors.
