People must crochet incredibly loose! I made the 5-8 size for my daughter using a 5.5 hook, it fits her but it’s more snug than I wanted. She still likes it though. Next time I’ll make the adult size.

It was my first time using cotton-ease yarn, I like it a lot! too bad it’s $10 a skein, I would buy it more often if it were cheaper.

9/22/2012 Made a second hat for my oldest using the same hook but Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn and the adult size. It just fits her.

I will not be using this hat pattern again.
