Notes

The contra dance I go to prefers that people dance in shoes that they don’t wear outside. I didn’t want to buy an extra pair of shoes, I only really want shoes to protect my feet from stepping on anything unpleasant, and I like making things. Felted since unfelted knitting would stretch and slip around on my feet, and unlike trying to make them crocheted out of unstretchy yarn (might or might not work) I didn’t need to carefully fit them as I made them.

Yarn listed twice both as fleece and yarn.

Cast on 8 per needle, increase to 16 each top/bottom. Leave 3 not decreased per side. Lengths same as child size.

Felted, did first part of drying on feet.

Fiber trends medium leather slipper soles. Had to trim the fronts since they aren’t made for something fitted. made new holes with a nail.

62g brown, 7g white

Finished knitting April 12, felted April 13. Bottoms sewn April 17. Tested dancing April 18, they seem to work.
