I find I never wear this - something about the fit / length / colours. I’ll see if I can’t fix it so I love it next summer.
NOTE - the pattern is missing information when you get to the split at the middle of the back. Refer to this thread here and put your 9 stitches on the spare needle back on the needle at the end of the first WS row.
To start:
125 grams dark purple (Egyptian Blue). All used up.
15 grams lighter purple (Light Denim) Small amount left.
76 grams lime green. Used 16 grams of a new skein.
Note - these yardages are accurate, not the ones listed above in the yarn links. I had to adjust those to accurately reflect what I have left in my stash.
Mods:
- didn’t do winding cast on at the right front bottom (start) as I didn’t want another cable hanging around. Used crochet cast-on with waste yarn.
- 4 extra rows for more length in left front, back and right front.
- added a second CC, as my dark purple yarn was short.
- added a pocket from the other Caesura tank - Tuck here
Thoughts:
- I don’t know the advantage to starting from the right side front and working up then doing the 3-needle bind-off on that shoulder to join the back. The pattern is very well written, but next time I would be inclined to start from the back and work down, pick up stitches for both fronts (instead of just the left) and work down, then join in the round.
- the description of the crochet cast on confused me, even after watching the video - with the first and last stitch instructions. I will consult with the group next time.
- I was reading through the project notes for other variations of this set of tanks. Apparently the shoulders are wider for this v-neck. I would actually make them wider next time, as my bra straps show.
