Sophia is my tiny little bug of a granddaughter. She measures so much smaller than her ‘age’ sweater size pattern. She is 8yrs old, but her chest measures for a size 3…but she is definitely taller than a 3 year old. I will try first making the 4y. We will be trying this on as we go… I think the smaller size, but making the arms and torso longer is what we will do. A custom tailored sweater for my precious grandaughter. We will have fun with this. :)
She picked her color from my stash. Madelinetosh DKTwist in color Undergrowth. Such good taste. Just like her MeMom.

Yes. School has already started. But I’m a very slow knitter… I really have been (mostly) diligently working on (pretty muchish) this sweater. I’ve been a good girl and have been alternating skeins which is new to me in knitting in the round and it does slow me up some as well. Sophia has tried her sweater on several times as the body length and sleeves have progressed and has given MeMom the two thumbs up so far.
I have picked up my stitches along the body and neck and am ALMOST done with the final bit. My other ends are even woven in. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel.

All done. Ends woven. Washed. Blocked. And it fits beautifully. AND she loves it. :)
We decided on 3/4 sleeves because Sophia likes to push her sleeves up. (They might be a liiiiitle longer;) Sophia also wanted the body of the sweater length longer…’over her butt in the back, please’.
