I need to declare my love of this square. I LOVE IT, OMG. Such interesting construction. Circle to a triangle to a circle to a square. Brilliantly designed, and so well written. Fun to play with colors. I was originally going to place it in my batch of squares for my sisters afghan I’m working on in the BAMCAL. Sad to say (I’m not a nice person I guess) it’s prolly not going to leave my possession and will become a pillow to shine on its own and stay with me forever. It makes me smile.

A Mystery-block-along. A clue given out over each of 7 days making a 12” square at the end…how fun is that? This pattern is by rebby.

There are several ideas given for color at the beginning of the ‘mystery’. I’m going with the shaded recommendation: 4 colors and then a darker or lighter shade of each of those 4 choices.

So I amended my color selection a bit. I have tiny leftovers of skiens in colors I think will be great, so some shaded colors with be shaded over three instead of 2 rows. Hopefully the plan works.

I added 1 row of sc and I’m right on 12”.

My colors from the inside out: (VC) pea green, (B) willow, (B) breath of blue, (B) blue gown, (B) cadet, (VC) dusty purple, (VC) chocolate, (B) bark, (B) porcelain red, (ILTY) pomegranate stripe, (B) incense, then repeats of: Pea green, willow, and pomegranate stripe.
