I won this yarn at the Yarn Tasting Party at Cozy Cabin on 09-13-09.
I knew that I wanted to make a hat (a beret, in fact).

I knew that I wanted to make Gretel.

But that did not work for gauge. Gretel needs a fairly heavy worsted and I found Lana D’Oro to be a lightweight worsted.

Which brings me to Vine and Leaf Beret. No match for gauge there, either (Vine and Leaf is a DK project). But I calculated a reduced number of repeats which worked well.

Also… I did a tubular cast on for the first time. I love the way it looks.
