I am half way done with my scarf.

I, and the other charity knitters at Gosh Yarn It!, will be using just three skeins of the Lanaloft Sport. I have completed the first half of my charity scarf. It has six hearts. The newest photo shows that I have 30g of yarn left from the second skein of yarn. The first half measure 26”, so the finished scarf will be 52” long.

As the photo shows, this scarf will need blocking. My recommendation is hand wash, and lay flat to dry, smoothing out shape into a straight rectangle. Light steam ironing is also a possibility.

I will be knitting this scarf for WomenHeart along with others at the Gosh Yarn It! shop KAL beginning Saturday, August 27.

My first photo shows an approximate 8” x 12” sample that I made for the shop.

The shop manager and I chose this yarn because it is lovely, but also affordable for charity knitting. The project will cost under $15. (And the yarn is made in America:) It does have to be hand washed, but we will provide tags for the scarves with laundry instructions.
