Notes

My husband made me a pixel editor program so that I would know how many to use of each color. I found a pixeled picture of Mario from Mario 3 on the web and drew it into the program. You can do the same to make any pixel art you want! http://hamstershamst.zxq.net/PixelEditor2.html

I used a garter stitch…I think that is what it is called where you do the following:
Ch 10. Working into the 3rd stitch, make a dc, then a sc, then a dc until the end (finish with a sc). Ch 2 then repeat for 7 rows. bind off. This makes about a 3” x 3” square.

Here are my color numbers.

Black 181
Background color 372
Dark Brown 24
Light Brown 21
Red 32
Skin color 68
Blue 48
White 6
Gold/yellow 2

Make these squares, and then piece the puzzle together using a whipstitch.
