Notes

Now that I’ve made one pair of socks via magic loop, I want to try a toe-up sock. the pattern calls for dpns but I’m going to use the magic loop.

04/30 - wrap and turns are kicking my butt. I’ve ripped it out three times. I think I may have it now. Keeping fingers crossed.
05/02- w&t still not perfected and I screwed up the provisional cast on. Once again I’m ripping them out and starting over.
05/04 - finished one sock. It still has small holes in the toes and heel but I think I can fix it with darning thread when I am done with the second sock.
05/06 - finished sock number 2. It looks slightely better than sock one though I lost track of my w&t on the heel and made the heel somewhat deeper. This is actually useful since I now know how to make a deeper heel.
Thoughts - I like cuff down much better only because I don’t have to do the w&t. However, I like the concept of toe-up and therefore need to practise. Will use a different yarn next time. This yarn split very easily. I think that is why I had trouble unzipping my provisional stitches.
