Notes

After making the fleur-de-lis version of this I decided I would like a design that was a little more visible on the top half and I really wanted something red and white. I came up with the “Medieval Heart” (it reminded me of ladies in castles embroidering little keepsakes). I’ve shared the chart on my blog and in my pattern store here on ravelry. The only tricky thing was I went up a size in needle to make it just a little larger, but it turns out the cascade is in fact a little thinner. I ended up stuffing it with red waste yarn cut up and fluffed (not the tosh, some fat cheap yarn in my stash) so that the color peeking through matched the tacking on the long floats when I was working. I love the end result. Very romantic and antique feeling.
