I made this for my daughter by copying my stocking that someone (a great aunt?) made for me when I was a girl. I liked it’s country-craft look and the way it stretches like crazy to hold lots of gifts. My daughter decided it was an ideal cozy for her little puppy. We’ll see how she reacts on Christmas morning when all kinds of little gifts join her little dog!
Pattern-wise it is just a bunch of granny squares arranged into a big stocking. I made three specials: A triangle for the heel, and two squares with a skipped corner section on the last row for the toe.
