Notes

I am a HUGE Twin Peaks fan, and I found a similar afghan, which I pinned. Easy enough--black and white, inspired by the floor in the Black Lodge…fans will know what I mean.

The pattern is from 200 Ripple Stitch Patterns: Exciting Patterns to Knit & Crochet for Afghans, Blankets & Throws, but the actual pattern for ‘Ribby’ is not yet on Ravelry.

I chose Aran instead of white, partly because I never really thought of the the Black Lodge floor as strictly black and white. I watched Twin Peaks on a crummy TV in the 90s, and for a long time I thought the floor was a dark brown and off white, heck, maybe it really is…

Update: I’m going to set this MASSIVE project aside for a rainy day. I love it, and I want to make it, but because it is an afghan, and not a cowl or something, it will take ages to finish it.
