Shuttle tatted. I am still trying to decide if this will be earrings (need 2), necklace, or broach/coat pin. Probably tinier versions from 70 thread would make better earrings.
2 arm spans of thread for shuttle, can be shuttle and ball CTM, or 2 shuttles, do not cut thread between, keep CTM. ALL beads added to picot when joining to the previous picot, with tiny steel crochet hook.
Pattern starts at the top trefoil, with small ring to the left.
The larger 2nd ring has the hanging loop, which is the picot between the two 8’s. Picot is 1/2” by gauge.
1/4” for seed bead picot of joining rings. you will need to put on a bead of the ones you want to use and make sure there is enough picot peeking out to join to, before closing that ring, as different beads are different sizes.
For the bead that is right in the middle of the trefoil/clover: after making the trefoil, put a bead on your tiny hook and pull a loop thru the bead from that chain thread that comes after that chain and right before you started the clover. Pass the shuttle from the back to the front, thru that loop. Snug the bead up into the middle of the clover, and make the chain that comes out of the right side of the clover.
The third ring in the second trefoil (bottom right trefoil) will have the long trunk picot, measured 1.25” with ruler or picot gauge. The trunk is made with the picot that is between the two 5’s in the 3rd ring, of this bottom right set of trefoil/clover. You can change the size, depending on how many beads or what kind you want for the trunk.
