I wanted to make this to go with my fall bracelet, in the same colors, that I recently made. This ‘simple’ pumpkin was soooo hard for me! I am beginner needle-tatter, and the fact that it was in Italian, was only second to the problem that she would have the work facing one way, then blip off the camera, and when she came back on, it was all turned another way. So, I had to be careful to watch the camera blips. There were pattern stitch numbers at the bottom of the screen, which were helpful. But I wanted to do the second version with beads, and found there were no numbers on that version, and she only did one ring… and somehow, mine looked all wrong. So, I decided I’d better go back and make the 1st version. Then after it was done, I decided to cheat, and SEW on the beads, which I skillfully hid all evidence of. After finishing, I realized that my grasp of the orientation of the project and what I was tatting was completely upside down, from what I thought. I’m surprised I finished it, as I had a really hard time with it seeming like my chains were going the wrong way, and just adjusting them. There is a nice little picot on the stem for a ring for a necklace. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get a bronze color, or have to use the gold I have.
