Annie’s Attic Crochet Twin Baby Dolls, has 4 his & her outfits for 12” dolls. Uses sz 10 cotton thread with size 4 steel hook (2mm). Her playset includes pattern for dress, bloomers, hat and booties.

Sept 6, 2021: Somehow I thought this would go soooo fast, because it was a little doll. But I have to remember that I’m used to making doilies, not solid things. I had a big problem with counting wrong. I finally decided to just not count, as it is a simple pattern anyway, and my logic is “how bad can it be?” I hope that doesn’t come back to haunt me later! I also didn’t join it in the back, as I always hate squeezing a dolls arms to get it on them. Hope that finishes up well, when I’m done.

Sept 7: got quite a few rows done tonight, a few rows left to main dress.

Sept 8: done to 21 and fastened off, now for the lace edging at the bodice and bottom. I finished the lace edging at the bottom of the skirt, lovely! Tomorrow I hope to finish the lace at the bodice!

Sept 9: Did 3 rows of the bodice lace last night, and just have to do the pink , as my eyes crossed and I couldn’t see to finish and had to go to bed! It was a little confusing for me how to start the lace onto the finished dress bodice, but I held the dress in normal up position and bent the bodice over to 1 row above the attachment row, and it was easier for me to get to the dc to wrap a post stitch around them.

Sept 10: Dress is done, just need to to decide how to accent it and how I want to fasten the back up, as I left it open for easy dressing.

Sept 28: I got the tiny roses in a bag of all different colored ones, I think in the embroidery floss ailse at walmart. I looked for the very thin satin ribbon but only found the larger size, which worked beautifully, afterall. I used the same ribbon to tie up the back as I put in the shoes. The original shoe size in the pattern did not fit this dolls feet. The doll called for must have had some TINY feet, as the one I made fit my bleuette doll. I changed the first row to have 7dc and it seemed to make the right size from there. I really don’t think any regular doll will fit the size booties these dolls in the book do.
