OLD UFO, FINALLY DONE.
This was one of my first doilies, and a group of us were doing it. They were saying there was something wrong with the directions for the edgings, and they just winged it. …..so being new at it, I just stopped, since I didn’t have enough experience to wing a doily then! It was easy up till then, now I don’t know if I will ever really finish it.

I gave this a difficult rating because the directions for the last 2 rnds are messed up.

UPDATE:
RND 13: At the end of the rnd, you finish with ch 6, sc into top of pineapple ch 1 sp, then, CHAIN 6 & SLP ST INTO TOP OF BEG CH 3.

RND 14: The dc clusters are made from 3dc, leaving 4 loops to pull thru on the end, except the beg that starts with a ch 3 and will only have 3 loops.
When you start making the (dc cl, ch2, dc cl) x3 - you are only using the ch 2 spc! Remember that there are 2 spc in the group that are ch 1 - skp them. So after you do the (dc cl, ch2, dc cl) you ch 2 and SKIP A CH 1 SPC. You only have the first, the middle and the last spc that takes the (dc cl, ch 2, dc cl) with two 1ch sps between them, that are skipped.

RND 15: I started doing rnd 15 and did not like it at all, so ripped out 14 and changed it so that the pineapples stayed like true pineapples with anything grabbing their top legs, creating an antennae effect (blick). Instead I put a dc cl, ch 2, dc cl in the middle dc of each stem coming up from the sides around the pineapple, and crossed the pineapple spc with ch 6. I had thought I’d be ending with green, red, then white, but just wasn’t liking it. It looks better to me with just the green.
