This maybe something simple to do! It is a tat-a-long, 14 rnds in 14 days. FREE FROM DESIGNER! She says it is shuttle and ball, which means 2 shuttles not needed, and so we should be able to simply do it with needle and ball! Will start Thursday afternoon, when I get my morning junk out of the way. :) PS: this link will take you to her page to find the new rnds each day. https://www.facebook.com/tatarenda.my/?__tn__=%2CdkCH-R-R... Not sure what time they will go up, though, as she is in a way different time zone.

UPDATE: wow! I can’t believe it, after the Lizbeth thread had sat for a couple of hours, when I picked it up again, it was nice and smooth, no trace of curliness! I was able to finish it with no trouble out of the thread!

I started this in size 20 Lizbeth 161 Sea Island Citrus, but it was acting up so badly with twisting together, that I started another one to give me a break! I thought it was At Lydia, but when I dug the wrapper out from the inside of the ball it was Grandma’s Best 551 Baby Rainbow, size 10.

RND 2: My chains were too short so I added 2ds on each end of the chain.

I had trouble understanding rnd 12, because there wasn’t enough of the doily in the pic for me to clearly tell where it started, but after 3 repeats, I discovered that I had added a chain between the sets of 6, that should have been ring, chain, ring - ring chain ring - no chain between the 2 sets. I am leaving them, as my picots are still going to be in the right place for the next rnd, and the next 5 will be done without that extra chain, thank goodness.

May 26, 2020 - started edging, rnd 14 :)

I had trouble getting my orientation correct for the edging, since it is opposite that of the rings and chains in the body. I want to remember that to do the edging, I place the doily on it’s face, and to do the rings, I lift the edge and I am working from the front. When the edge faces down, I do the chains, as I’m on the back.

JULY 2, 2020 I finished this a couple of days ago, but didn’t write the exact date, probably June 30, so I’ll just use July 2 as the fin date, since it HAD to be blocked. My edge was tighter than the circumference of the doily and so it couldn’t spread out without bunching. I used starch and laid it out, manipulating every ring and chain and picot, and it finally laid out. I left the yellow&green one at the size to be a small doily, it is cute under my vintage pin cushion.
