This was made for my friend’s son, when he was born 40 years ago, by his grandmother. Now that son & wife are having their own baby, friend wants to give it to them, and finds it had a hole in it. It was in the yellow animal block (turtle), rather than the connecting areas that are white. I had 4 yellows, and I was surprised to find that this vintage one was actually a bright yellow green. 3 of my threads were of the golden yellow type, and one (DMC Traditions 5745) was a soft buttery yellow, which actually took on a peach yellow look, when compared to the blanket. That is what I ended up using anyway, and then touched it up a bit with a yellow permanent marker to match more closely.
