Notes

Originally I’d begun researching motifs to make a new rug for under my kitchen table and then the next thing I know I have decided to make another full size rug. The Zendoodle Rug I originally intended for the parlour looks just too good in the main living room which means I still have bare hardwoods in here!

I am still working out the design in my mind and number of motifs I will need but I am excited about this new project and it’s portability.

Hexagon info-

Color B-Peach, Robins Egg, Claret

Okay, the plan is to make the majority of the hexagons pink and peach (I am loving this color combo) with pops of teal and red randomly sprinkled in. I am thinking I will crochet up a full skein of teal and then a full skein of red and I think that will end up with the following…

Pink/Peach-65
Pink/Teal-15
Pink/Red-15

Peach-24
Teal-11
Red-6

Wow, haven’t been great on updating here. So, I found a rug I LOVE for my parlour and went ahead and purchased it and decided to go back to using these for a rug under my kitchen table. I have completed all the hexagons, more than I need actually, and have just started crocheting them together. I am really excited for this one! I think I will be using the extra hexagons for a giant floor cushion but we shall see.

I absolutely love how this turned out! I crocheted a border on the inside hexagon and crocheted a long chain when I was done which I used to lace the open sides closed. I used one of those mesh rug pads under it and some additional rug gripper tabs along the border.
