Notes
  • used 51 g (approx 400 m) for body (before ruffle & sleeves).
  • made hem only 3/4 inch (instead of 1.5 inches) because I was worried about running out of yarn.
  • steam blocked edges and hem before picking up for ruffle, makes life easy.
  • worked first inc row on ruffle as per patt (kfb), but I was worried about the line formed by the wee bumps that that inc makes on stockinette. So, I worked the 2nd inc row as lifted increases, just for the heck of it. I think it would have been okay either way. :)
  • when blocking, I was a bit befuddled about how to do the big ruffle. Turns out that after the sweater dried, I steam blocked the ruffle on its own to flatten it out, allowed it to dry a bit on the ironing board, then moved on to the next section. I think it’s going to be okay wrt rolling.
  • 7.7 g (=67 yards) left over from the skein. Excellent value for approx 800 yards.

Light and breezy, easy and elegant!
