I started with a 3.0mm needle as suggested by pattern, and my gauge was way off. I restarted with a 3.5mm (US4) for the portions that were knit flat, and then I used a US5 for knitting in the round. This got me the closest to gauge.

I knit approx 5” of body below the arms, and then I went back and completed the neck & arm ribbing. I knew that I wanted the top to be longer than called for in the pattern, so I wanted to be able to knit as much as possible of yarn before starting the ribbing.

The skeins I used were “heavy” skeins, as I used not quite all of the 2 skeins, and yet the finished garment is 205 grams total.

I used a US 3 for all ribbing to ensure that there was no flaring out of stitches.
