Did the first 8 rows last night, but I restarted it about 5 times! The first time I got to the 6th row and realized that doing back loop wasn’t looking very good. And then I had a few tries that were looking too lumpy or too messy so I experimented with different hooks until I got one that looked just right. I snapped my plastic H hook but luckily I have a metal one as well. Note to self, don’t buy plastic!

Note about the pattern: I think the author assumes that you are going to be confused by the instructions and because of this has written them out in a way that actually complicates the matter. Its a lot simpler than it appears to be.

I’ve been putting this project aside to work on other smaller things and also because I had not decided the rest of the color scheme, but tonight I ripped out one row of white to replace with black and I think it looks better.

I ran out of black yarn a few days ago and every local place that has the black RHSS is completely sold out, I’m so bummed! Will have to wait until I can get more black, in the meantime I started my Babette blanket!

Finally after doing the last few rounds on and off for the past couple of weeks.

I finished off with 40 rounds, and did one round of scallops for the edge.
