After few years of saying that I must knit myself a basic black cardigan and never finding time to make one, I am finally knitting one :)
While the cardi is very simple, I did not particularly wanted to knit it in st. st. However, because black is so hard on my eyes, I had to keep the stitch pattern simple. I liked the very 1st one I made up on the fly while knitting a sample. Very very simple, but gives a nice texture I wanted, easy to fit into any decreases/increases and most importantly super easy to knit in black.
The construction is the same as in my Honey Ale cardi, seamless, top-down and with set-in seamless sleeves. The fronts will be more drapey than in Honey Ale and the cardi will be longer. That is my personal most favorite cardigan shape for everyday cardigans.

Blocking :-)
I love how this cardi turned out. It was a very fast knit too. I had to put the cardi aside for a week to knit a shawl, so it would of been done even faster. I definitely see one in a different color in the future :-)
I really wanted to try tubular BO in this project, but I just do not see that well sts in black yarn, so decided not to strain my eyes and just try it in the lighter color project another time.
