11shawls2011 #4
04.24.11 I saw this pattern and just had to CO ASAP ;-)) It looks unique and the border is so lovely :-)) I need a black shawl for an event to go with a certain dress and my dad’s name is Vlad ;-))…..I must knit this shawl :-)
For the first two repeats I was thinking that this is not going to work out. I could not see any pattern on the black yarn. However, by the end of 3rd repeat it became very clear and quite easy to knit and to follow.
I have done 7 repeats so far. The pattern calls for 7. I hope I have enough yarn to make 8 :-))
04.26.11 Knitted 8th repeat and some of the transition chart and it became obvious that I do not have enough yarn to do 8 repeats. I had to unravel back one repeat ( not very enjoyable process ;-((). Now, with 7 repeats I am knitting transition chart again :-)).
04.27.11 The shawl is finished and is being blocked now. I love, love, love how it turned out.
To my surprise, the shawl took almost entire skein. There maybe enough yarn left to do 1 row. If I had more yarn I would knit last row few more times to get the edges more pointy, but it was not meant to be ;-)

07.26.11 Just added some pictures of the shawl with a dress, that I knitted the shawl for to wear to the wedding I was attending last weekend :-)) It came quite useful, since it was a little cold and it was an outdoor wedding :-))
12.02.11 I am doing “Wear a Shawl Challenge” on my Blog. Vlad was the last shawl to wear in the challenge :-))
