Mods:

• used kittymomma’s alternative to the garter tab start.
• did 10 reps of the stockinette pattern in the first section (instead of 7)
• used a decrease BO: k2tog tbl, slide stitch to left needle, repeat to the end. It’s a little more flexible than a standard knit BO

Stitch count at end of each section:
1 = 9st
2 = 73st (21r)
3 = 81st
4 = 145st
5 = 153st
6 = 217st
7 = 225st
8 = 235st

The top edge (start and end of each row) is not as stretchy as I’d like; I’m worried that it will wear quickly.

24/10/14: This is a much-loved scarf, and the edging is holding up just fine :)
