Notes

Finally replacing the Slytherin scarf I made over 10 years ago (I’m much more of a Ravenclaw now than I was as a teenager) and upgrading to the darker, more mature style of PoA and beyond.

Gauge swatch: 5 sts and 6.5 rows = 1” in US 8 (5mm)

Using Judy’s Magic Cast-On to cast on a closed end. Wove in ends as I went and closed with Kitchener stitch.

I have no idea how I wound up using so much more yarn than the original pattern called for. It was like some horrible dark magic. Clearly Voldemort was behind it. But I think I have enough left over to make a matching hat!

If anyone’s interested, I’m fairly certain I developed a method for nearly perfect jogless stripes in the round for this project. Check it out here: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/magic-needle-jogl...
