Used circular needles. Added 2 rows extra ribbing at bottom and top.

Not especially happy with how the buttons turned out, may replace them with big snaps or magnets.

Follow-up, Dec 2011: fit is a bit loose, buttons end up being oddly placed. Have noticed C using a big rubber band to hold it on.
