Notes

11/25/10: Finished this last night after the ice hockey game. Can’t block it until we get home but I’m calling it done anyway. Got some cute shots of Addy wearing it today. She’s now asking for a shawl of her own - which she will get, of course. Just hope she lets me take this one home!

11/23/10: ran out of handspun. Went shopping for something that would match enough to let me add a few more rows and found the perfect yarn; color and texture are great.

11/21/10: Started this on the plane to Denver for Addy’s birthday. The pattern is beyond easy and I like how it shows off the colors in this yarn.

Modifications: I made a slight change (of course) at the start - ch 3, turn, dc in same stitch - and end of each row - 2dc in top of turning chain. This makes the top sides longer and gives a more finished look to the top edge. Won’t have to single crochet across the top this way - which is a very good thing since I don’t have enough yarn.

Also, chained 2 (instead of 3) when doing the border row picots, which made them shorter. I thought it was a nicer look.
