I knitted 4 little baskets improvising the pattern, then felted them. I filled them with knitted leaves, 2 knitted acorns and 1 knitted hazelnut, to match a children story. I can’t reveal the details now because I want to mail and hand them out first, sorry about that!
October 7th 2011: my swap partner , Mhairi, received her little basket, so I can show more about this project!
Thanks to Linda at Natural Suburbia for her free leaves and acorn patters…The three little things in the last photo are meant to be Woody,Hazel and Little Pip from Elsa Beskow’s book with the same title: 2 acorns and a Hazelnut, that’s why I changed color and stitch.
The swap was for the Waldorf Inspired Swap group di Ravelry and the themes was to create something for the seasonal Nature Table and add a story on a similar subject. It was real fun!
