colorwork gauge spot on for pattern Prior to blocking, leading me to think i’ll get some good growth when i stretch it over a plate. which, at this stage, i think is desirable because those 30 rows before beginning decreases doesn’t lend for a very tall hat, imo. but maybe that’s just my highbun getting in the way.

after pondering whether it’d look empty working the crown all white, i drew up a little design for my decrease chart. very mandala-esque. & then k2tbl around for 8 sts, switched to an icord (starting with a k2) patterned 2brown 1white pattern for a bit of a forward swirl
