I loved knitting this project so much! This is my second time double knitting a project and my first time using more than one colour in a project.

I knit this as part of a Christmas parcel for a fellow Trekkie.

For the side borders, I just knit two stitches together at the start and end of the row with yarn held doubled. I was in a rush and didn’t want to have to learn how to crochet in order to do the borders in the pattern.

I knit the red and white one first and had a few difficulties following the chart at first but after I had unraveled it a few times, I finally got the hang of it. This is the first thing I knit since April 2013 so cut me some slack! A great warm-up project for the two shawls that I knit after this project.

I didn’t use up the full skeins of yarn and there’s enough for more small dishcloths or other similar projects…
