Had a bunch of single skeins of the same weight yarn, and I figured the colors were all complementary enough I could get a cute skirt out of it. I was not wrong. There’s a few minor issues I can see that no one else has noticed, but I’m gonna tell you what they are anyway because I only think it’s fair:

I screwed up my stitch count and ended up with a diagonal seam. I was working a single crochet, a chain stitch, skipping a stitch, and then single crocheting into the next stitch, and I added a few extra stitches by accident right at the end of rounds.

It’s fitted for my natural waist, and it’s held up by elastic crocheted into the second row of stitches. I love and loathe the elastic in all my projects. Love it because it helps keep the shape the way I want while also supporting the piece to stay put. Hate it because I never seem to get the damn thing in right on the first try.

Wore it out in 85 degrees, and it was super comfy. The slightly open stitch work allows for air movement without requiring a slip; one of the reasons I use the stitch pattern frequently.
