How the hell do you crocodile stitch cuff

Used up the last bit of that mystery skein to figure out the crocodile stitch, which I’ve seen a lot but never worked on. I did my chain round around a hair tie and then worked the stitch pattern off of that. I was going to try and make a scrunchie type design, but I did three rows of the stitch and realized the hair tie wasn’t really going to turn properly anymore, so I added a few rows of single crochet to make it look a bit like a flower and called it good.

I can see why this stitch has been so popular; it’s a lot of fun to create and gives great texture. I’ll probably be edging everything with for awhile.
