Notes

The stretch in Cascade Fixation makes it perfect for a nice, snug beanie, and I loves me a snug beanie. So, I sat down and made a few, just to see how it’d go, and I ended up coming up with a hat that I thought would make a great pattern for an advanced beginner.

I used dc, hdc, and sc (back loop only) to get the look of the hat, and I worked in the round, turning at the end of every round. The hat fits an average adult head and--thanks to that stretch--is also a great hat for teens.

I mention it in the pattern, but it bears repeating: You wanna keep yourself nice and relaxed when working with this yarn. Pull too tight, and you’re going to lose the stretch you’re trying to build into the project.
