Made from a skein of mystery yarn that I think is probably a cotton/wool blend based on how it feels. I worked from the top down, the pleats coming from a series of quick increases at the crown. It’s half double crochet throughout until the last few rows, which are single. It can be worn in the ski style I’m wearing above, or I can push it back behind my ears and just use it to keep my hair out of my face. You didn’t get that pic because I’m lazy and just home from a week-long business trip (hence the title of the hat).
