Notes

I ran out of yarn during the last few rounds of the toe decreases. FYI.

here’s my 2 cents … they fit! i agree the leg is rather long, and i was too lazy to figure out how to alter to make shorter.

the pattern, … it’s not that stretchy.

BUT, the sock fits me fine. perhaps it’s because i have slender legs/ankles/feet ?

or because the yarn has some stretch to it?

i don’t know.

typically, i would knit a plain stockinette stitch sock on size 2.25mm needles at 64 stitches.

i’m knitting this one on 60 stitches.

BUT, i do know when i work a pattern with purl stitches, i do loosen up a bit.

regardless --- i thought these socks would end up being someone else’s, but i think they might be mine.

my only concern now is the yardage, as panda cotton has yardage like koigu.

as it turned out, I did run out of yarn during the toe decreases. I found another SKA member that had some leftovers and she graciously mailed me the yarn. 1st sock completed today, July 26, 2013.

notes: elm is an extremely well written pattern, and the panda cotton makes a nice squishy fabric --- just beware that this has a very long sock leg if you follow the pattern as written, and the traveling ribs make for a not very stretchy sock.
